Facets STP Series Sewage Treatment Plants for inland applications have been designed for gravity or pumping treatment of domestic sewage, and they're intended for surface installation.. These plants carry out the sewage treatment by biological means. STP units are of the "active sludge aerobic and extended aeration type," and they don't require dosing or other additives.
The Plant consist of a single-built prefabricated steel module (settling and disinfection chamber) outside an aboveground concrete pit (aeration chamber) built in situ. This configuration has been developed to allow transport inside a standard 40 container and facilitate installation. This modular construction allows the increase of the processing capacity by placing more plants in parallel.
The air diffusers responsible for the oxygenation and agitation of the water to be treated, are placed within the aeration chamber. The biological filter and pipes that recirculate sludge and grease towards the aeration chamber, are located, also, in the prefabricated steel module. The settling is pressurized in the settling chamber facilitating the deposition of solids.
All the instruments and control elements of the plant are located on a prefabricated steel frame inside a concrete room built in situ close to the concrete pit. The connections between the instruments inside the room and the prefabricated steel module are through the pipes of the corresponding section.
Facets STP-HA Series Sewage Treatment Plants meet the spillage requirements of 91/271/CE regulation. The sound level is lower than 55 dB(A) at 6 meters from the room where the instruments are located. These Plants do not generate sludge nor do they produce odors due to the enclosed modular construction. The Plants are supplied fully pre-assembled and tested, so that they can be installed in their final location in one day.
